Welcoming 2017 with memories of 2016.
For 2 weeks in December, the parents and I spent time at the “usual spot”. Kerala, India. Between a stretch of backwaters and the Arabian Sea.
I am convinced that only when we disconnect can we truly connect.

I’m only on “friendly” terms with it because it was on the other side of my window – the “right” side. Probably wouldn’t have felt so friendly towards it if it had been on the “left”.
Perhaps life gives us
Burdens of existence
So that
Like the river at it’s lowest course
About to meet the sea
Unable to summon strength
To carry it’s load any further
We eventually have to
Simply
Let
Go
I remember searching the internet for interesting things to do in Sydney towards the end of last year, and this was one of the events which came up. Am so glad I got to visit it this year 🙂
After my numerous solo excursions, it was nice to touch base with a familiar face and soul, have meaningful conversations, and share beautiful experiences with someone I know again.
Thankful.
