White Rabbit Teahouse

My third time back to the White Rabbit Gallery and their current exhibition, but it’s still far from boring. Perhaps this is what good art does – enabling its viewers to gain a different insight and perspective every time they interact.

This time, we also had the chance to sit down to try a plate of their renowned dumplings and tea.

Not disappointed at all 🙂

Recognition Perks

So, I kept my promise and went back to this cafe again, just to see if they had the new issue of Frankie out (>.<)

They didn’t, but I enjoyed a relaxing morning there all the same. The barista recognized me and we chatted about the sunny island for a short while. Then, while I was busy writing about something in my magical notebook, he suddenly approached and offered me a small cup of “white ice tea”.

“It’s brewed using cold drip method. Try it, you’ll enjoy it!” I was told. So I took a sip, and wow, even though I have very little idea about what the cold drip method is about, it’s certainly one of the most refreshing teas I’ve ever drank.

This is the second cafe here I’ve been recognized in, but the first that gave me recognition perks. As we were saying bye, I promised to bring my friends next time. So… friends who are joining me in June, I hope you will enjoy this place as much as I do! 🙂

Toto Homemade Ice Cream & Dessert Cafe

One VERY good thing which came out of our initial accomodation fiasco was that our new hotel, though more run-down, was situated practically just next door to this amazing cafe – Toto Homemade Ice Cream & Dessert Cafe.

We fell in love with the exterior immediately, and we were not disappointed when we stepped in.

The ice cream, pastries, tea, and on top of it all, the service of the staff  – was world-class and puts the standard at home to shame, really.

We enjoyed the food and ambiance of the place so much, we visited this cafe not just once, not twice, but THRICE, in the entire 2 and a half days we were in Phnom Penh. (Of course it helped that it was just next door to where we were staying 😉
