I managed to squeeze in travelling from Taichung to Taipei and some cafe time before I had to be at the airport. Yay to later flights.
It was so peaceful and comforting to be there, I didn’t want to leave.
And now my official favourite cafe is a 4-hour flight away…
With the lovely Simba.
A cool respite from the city’s heat! Loved the journey and scenery.
I must have said this several times since I got back, but I’ll say it again:
If I had known how long the walk was going to be, I would have taken a cab there!
Fortunately, the view of the lush waterfall made all that huffing and panting feel a little more worth while.
What felt like never-ending flights of steps.
Little rewards along the way..
To be honest, I had imagined this to be a cat heaven of sorts, with friendly, rolling cats all over, and them frolicking all over the place, but…
Perhaps it was the dreary drizzle which made it seem like there were less cats than there would be. And even those that appeared seemed a little under the weather themselves.
Still, it was a good place to practice my animal selfie skills.
The favourite one.
The friendly neighborhood around the park around the cafe.
Still in Day 1. Immensely enjoyed soaking in the creative, rustic and down-to-earth vibes here.
About a week ago, I embarked on my first solo trip to Taipei, Taiwan.
The first place I went to – Paper Street Cafe, for that much needed solitude and rest by the window.
