One of the joys of travelling, and especially travelling solo, is being open to unexpected changes to your plans.
I met a cat in a stationery shop.
I looked for “Hidden Lane Cafe” and ended up in a different “Hidden Lane”, but still enjoyed my time exploring the area nonetheless, and ended up getting a nice gift for a friend at one of the nearby shops.
It all works out. Eventually.
It was Day 8 of the trip. Back to cafe hopping in Taichung city.
“Big things often happen in the little moments” – such a calligraphy-worthy quote!
Following CingJing, it was Sun Moon Lake. I would have liked to spend a longer time here, longer than just 2 too-short hours! Did not manage to complete all ferry stops.
Not hard to see why this was one of my favourite places in the trip.
There’s nothing quite like walking in silence on your own, without another person in sight, on a sky trail in the mountains.
The solo leg of my trip started. I had never been to Taichung before, and thought this would be a good time as any to do my solo trip.
First cafe in order: Lightbeam. Thank you Google Maps.
