A rare treat before the start of the workday.

Getaway to Bintan – Day 2
On our second (and last) morning there, we planned to wake up at 5.30AM to catch the sunrise.
So Mum’s alarm rang at 5.30AM, home time.
Which translated to 4.30AM in Bintan.
By the time I figured out why the sky was not getting any brighter by the minute, it was around 4.45AM.
Laughing, we decided to use the extra time to shower and freshen up anyway.
Good story for memories ;p

All we can think of
Is otherwise.
That Time in India II
Taken from /in our block of flats. I could certainly get used to waking up to sunrises everyday.
Hot Days
Still with beauty.
The Coldest Winter
Actually it’s only my second winter, but by comparison it’s definitely the coldest.
I’m not complaining, though. Cosy layers over sweltering heat and humidity any day.
Around Woolloongabba
Around the suburb we stayed. I couldn’t have asked for a better location and quality of accommodation, given our budget and lack of knowledge of the area! From our balcony, we were treated to daily views of the sunrise and sunset.
We were also walking distance away from the supermarket, and the hospital where we did our placement.
Thank you Woolloongabba, for making our Brisbane experience such a scenic and convenient one:)
Adventures in Byron Bay III
On the Sunday of that weekend, we woke up slightly before 6am.
“Do you want to go see the sunrise, it’s just down the road.”
So, with a pair of muddy gumboots (which, ironically were supposed to protect my feet from the mud), we walked to the road.
And wow.
After a few moments of oohing and aahing, we realised that the scenery was really good for silhouette shots!
So the poses began.
The dear friend who climbed on top of a tractor. Or a machine of some sort.
I decided to stay safely with the trees.
There’s nothing like a good sunrise to start the day.
Contrast
There’s nothing like days and nights of biting winds, floods and storms to make one fully appreciate the beauty of light and warmth.
