La Ristrettos // Thoughts at Work

Looking at just this collage alone brings back all the memories of that day. Grandfather’s death anniversary. Grandma missing a step, fell down. Hospitalized, just when everyone was looking forward to CNY. Family at the hospital. Listening to the older adults discussing what to do. Being told to go ahead with my plans since there was nothing I could do anyway. Solitude in the afternoon. Meeting the Comrade for dinner. Mindfulness session at night.

Was it a good day? Bad day?

I have long learned that it’d do me more good to withhold such judgements. Life is so much easier to live with when I learn to breathe, accept and go on. (Grandma has since been discharged, and is hopefully on the way to a full recovery)
