Bricolage

“Bricolage”

Being in the moment… While holding the past… Anticipating the future and what the possibilities might be.

Although I first came across this word in the clinical context, in a reading advocating the application of such a mindset to relate and understand patients better, I soon realised what a beautiful word this could be to live by in other aspects of life too.

Trust the French to load such meaning, philosophy and concept into a single, simple word.

Bricolage.

Autumn in Penrith

I was feeling slightly bummed about not having the time and opportunity to go up to the mountains as yet, due to the unfriendly weather and extra placement days this year. Was feeling sorry about missing the autumn colors. What a pleasant to have this beautiful sight greeted me one weekend morning, just along the road nearby!

5 minutes till I needed to run for the bus, and so I started snapping in the early morning light.

Really loving the autumn colors! And also feeling slightly sad that this is possibly my last autumn in Aussieland. All the more reason to cherish and live in the moment 🙂
