Adventures in Byron Bay III

On the Sunday of that weekend, we woke up slightly before 6am.

“Do you want to go see the sunrise, it’s just down the road.”

So, with a pair of muddy gumboots (which, ironically were supposed to protect my feet from the mud), we walked to the road.

And wow.

After a few moments of oohing and aahing, we realised that the scenery was really good for silhouette shots!

So the poses began.

The dear friend who climbed on top of a tractor. Or a machine of some sort.

I decided to stay safely with the trees.

There’s nothing like a good sunrise to start the day.

Autumn in Penrith

I was feeling slightly bummed about not having the time and opportunity to go up to the mountains as yet, due to the unfriendly weather and extra placement days this year. Was feeling sorry about missing the autumn colors. What a pleasant to have this beautiful sight greeted me one weekend morning, just along the road nearby!

5 minutes till I needed to run for the bus, and so I started snapping in the early morning light.

Really loving the autumn colors! And also feeling slightly sad that this is possibly my last autumn in Aussieland. All the more reason to cherish and live in the moment 🙂

On Mist, and Other Thoughts

It’s interesting to be here for a second year, to see how the seasons move in a cycle, yet do not ever repeat themselves.

The mist this year is unlike the mist last year. So is the light, clouds, sky, air, and a multitude of other things. There is familiarity within the foreign, and vice versa.

I want to live in, and love, every moment of it. From the scorching sun to the freezing winds – for this too shall pass, and I only have the present.
