The golden hour, made perfect with a rainbow.
“Nothing in this universe is accidental, not even creation. If it were, the whole universe would be chaotic. But the inherent order in nature and its extraordinary beauty indicate that behind the workings of the universe are an expansive heart and an intellectual power that the human mind can never fathom.” – source
Despite living in this area for more than a decade, I’ve never had the chance to get such a good view of the golden hour, across the waterway.
Beauty in every new moment.
It’s interesting to be here for a second year, to see how the seasons move in a cycle, yet do not ever repeat themselves.
The mist this year is unlike the mist last year. So is the light, clouds, sky, air, and a multitude of other things. There is familiarity within the foreign, and vice versa.
I want to live in, and love, every moment of it. From the scorching sun to the freezing winds – for this too shall pass, and I only have the present.
Before Daylight Savings, that is. Although I welcome the cooler weather, and look forward to layering myself with winter clothes, waking up to beauty like this is something I’ll definitely miss.
Unless I start waking up at 5am… But even morning people have their limits!
At this time of the year, the sun wakes up at around the same time as I do 🙂
I stood in the kitchen for a few moments, and admired the silent beauty of the slanting rays around me.
Nature’s subtle reminder that there can only be light because there is darkness,
And the beauty of light is enhanced by shadows.
Thank you for showing me the beauty in simple things.
