Weight of History
“Weight of History” exhibit at the Art Museum.
A thought-provoking journey –
Makes one ponder about what makes us what we are.
As burdensome as “weight” sounds,
Would we be less anchored without it?
Yawn.
Enlightened Ways
Some of my favourites from the exhibition.
The silence and serenity of a museum is one of the best things I could enjoy, amidst the rush of this world.
Shroud
Sometimes, visits to museums makes me feel:
People in what we know as the past
May not be so different from what we are
After all,
It is the same Earth spinning round and round.

Can memories be preserved through a name?
I wonder.
That aside, the pancakes were deeply satisfying, but the surroundings a tad too noisy. Popularity has a price.
Look Into My Eyes
Too Long Ago
Too long ago,
my mind could take long, tranquil walks
And was filled with hopeful thoughts
Now those days feel distant, vague
Faded, lost, hard to regain.
Too long ago,
Time was a basic commodity.
Now seconds are a luxury,
And hours, priceless.
Too long ago,
I lived, with furry companions in my life,
And friends by my side.
Too long ago.
Smitten
Saw a familiar face from Henry Congressional while we were chilling the afternoon away, with our thoughts and books.
In a way, I was glad.
Glad that dreams need not totally die, even when buildings do.
