It is ok
Even if your days look like endless walks
through the forests of your mind.
There is still beauty –
in the walking,
in the going on,
in the moving forward,
in the seeking for something you’re not quite sure you’re going to find.
There is still beauty in all of that.
I sat in front of the images and looked at them for a long time.
Long enough for the kind curator to cautiously approach me and say: “These are abstract images.”
Perhaps she thought I was trying too hard to make sense of them.
And I was… I was trying to make my own meaning out of what I saw.
As we often try to do in life.
When no bikes are available for cycling, you make the best of the outdoors anyway, by imagining it’s your favourite season on an island in the tropics.
On a morning I was free, it struck me that it had just rained heavily. I yolo-ed and reorganised my plans for the day so that I could visit the Botanic Gardens.
I wasn’t disappointed.
The smell of wet grass, the not-too-warm-yet sunlight on my skin… the excitement of taking photos under such friendly lighting… Everything came together to make it a beautiful morning experience.
On a particularly adventurous day.
Anything “social” tends to scare me at first… But this space is okay 🙂
It’s been a blessing in disguise, really.
I mean, you KNOW exercise is good for you. But knowing and doing are very different things.
And until you’re actually pushed by (desperate) circumstances to get down to it, you might never do it.
