Sometimes life feels like a giant cycle of waiting.
Waiting for each moment to pass,
Waiting for each day to end and a new day to start.
Waiting for celebrations, waiting for holidays, waiting for the weekends.
Waiting for milestones in life – to grow up, to graduate, to work, to meet someone? To start a family? To… ?
(Though of course, not everyone waits for the same things in life)
Waiting, with the danger of never fully living each day.
But.
This waiting, although futile, may be just the thing that keeps us going.
For, like the only thing that sees one through the bleakest mid-winters –
Is the Faith that Spring will come again.
And so, we wait.
Saddly spring will return and I will patiently await the autumn to bring back my beloved winter.
